Since long time We have not discussed any laptop on techfreak so here is one you will like it.

The HP ProBook 4520s is a stylish 15-inch business laptop. It is based on the Intel Core i3-350M processor, offers very good performance, and marries one-of-a-kind looks and design with adequate business features without upsetting your budget overmuch.

Design
Like the previously reviewed 14-inch ProBook 4410s, the HP ProBook 4520s is a stylish business laptop unlike any other we’ve seen from any laptop manufacturer. It comes in two colors - caviar and bourdeaux. Our review unit had the caviar color scheme, which is sort of a dark metallic brown splashed on the screen lid and palmrest. The screen lid has a finely polished texture and it feels rich and premium — ditto the ProBook 4520s’ palmrest. The keyboard strip is entirely black consisting of black chiclet-styled keys. Overall, the HP ProBook 4520s black-on-brown color scheme isn’t too loud or jazzy, but isn’t dull (like a ThinkPad X301, for example) either — it’s close to perfect.

The ProBook 4520s is very well built for a 15-inch laptop, with its twin central hinges ably supporting the screen with the rest of the chassis. The entire laptop with a six-cell battery weighs in at 2.5-kg, which is lighter in comparison to other 15-inch laptops we’ve reviewed like Dell Studio 15 Artist Edition, Lenovo IdeaPad Y550, and Acer Aspire 5740.

The behind-the-ear design has its Lithium Polymer battery encased in arch body that goes at the back of the ear: this connects to the front flexible rubber with the extending boom mic . The headset is comfortable to wear and the earplug fits nicely inside the ear. Further. it has a good build quality to help guard against everyday wear and tear. The ear hook has volume controls on the top, and microUSB charging port and paring button are at the back. The protruding boom arm rotates at 180 degree, so does the earphone which make the headset suitable to use it for either both left or right ear. A call management button is also found sitting on the hinge where the boom meets the earphone. There is nothing that would be much of an issue in terms of usage and design. The headset fits well, thanks to its flexible design and the three different sizes rubber tips included in the package. The package also included a charger and a car charger.

No doubt dual-SIM phones make life a lot easier. With just one single device you can connect to two different networks, have two different numbers and simultaneously talk on those two numbers as well. But that’s not what we are trying to tell here. There are some dual-SIM mobile phones out there which offer much more than that.

Today I will be writing on the latest dual phones available in the indian market with average rates.

1.Micromax Gamolution (G4) : Image Credits

Simple. Holding your phone upright, turn it towards left to turn your racing car towards left and towards right to turn you car to right while acceleration is set to automatic. Really, I’m hoping against the hope that this is the primary reason that the motion sensor in G4 is meant for. Like other phones if it just for changing those tracks, pictures (from portrait to landscape modes) etc, then it’s just useless.

Also, the screen is a mere 2.4 inch one. I always thought bigger screens (at least a 3 inch) produce better gaming experience. 2.4 inch screen is just a standard with any mobile and to me it’s like putting new wine into an old bottle.

Nevertheless, you get 4 motion sensor games pre installed with your G4 and a separate Games CD with further such games.

G4 has a camera that can also act as WEBCAM when connected to a PC using the USB cable that you’d get along with the pack.

The Samsung S3 Slim is a super slick-looking device that comes in 4GB and 8GB versions.The S3 delivers a good value, thanks to excellent sound quality and a handful of useful features. However, we’re a bit letdown by the player’s shrunken screen and lack of integrated Bluetooth, a neat feature that is included on its sibling, the Samsung T10.

The Samsung S3 Slim is fairly similar in design to its predecessor, the Samsung T10, although the S3 has a sturdier feel and more rounded edges. The clear-coated metallic body gives the player a smooth feel and stylish look, and at least some of the colors aren’t completely smudge-prone–a rarity in shiny devices. The S3 is available in a choice of five colors: black, blue, green, red, and white. Glowing touch-sensitive controls live beneath the shiny exterior and light up only when activated by your finger. On the one hand, this gives the player a sleek and stylish look; on the other, it adds an extra step to navigation. The singular tactile control, a combo power/hold switch, resides on the right spine. The bottom of the S3 houses a proprietary syncing port and a standard 3.5mm headphone jack. Unfortunately, you won’t find a dedicated volume rocker anywhere on the device.

As its name suggests, the Samsung S3 Slim is slender and compact, measuring 3.7 inches by 1.7 inches by 0.3 inch, which is just fractionally larger than the 4G iPod Nano. Sadly, the S3’s screen is 0.2 inch smaller than that of both the T10 and the Nano at 1.8 inches diagonally. This seemingly minor decrease is definitely noticeable when it comes to portable devices.

Samsung S3 Slim is available for just $79.99 and $119.99, respectively.

Android tablet army

The Android tablets are coming and this time Apple won’t have a big head start. Will value tablets sell?

Dell’s Streak , a 5-inch tablet powered by Android, launched Tuesday in the U.K. and the device will come to the U.S. later in the summer. The Streak has integration with the Android market and a few other goodies that may attract buyers, according to Dell.

Meanwhile, Pandigital has its Novel, another Android-powered device. The Novel (bottom right) is a 7-inch touchscreen device also powered by Android. Joel Evans calls the Novel a poor man’s iPad at $199.

Get used to it. There’s an army of “poor man’s iPads” on deck. Note these devices won’t be iPad killers or anything, but Apple legitimized the tablet form factor and the followers are lining up. There will be multiple Android tablets waiting in the wings.

Last year’s netbook is this year’s tablet. Om Malik notes that Android has trumped Google’s Chrome OS. Jason Hiner wonders if Android is the Windows of smartphones. One thing is clear: Android has proven to adapt to multiple devices. And like Google’s smartphone efforts, the aim appears to be to surround Apple.

The big difference with the Android tablet army is that the Apple iPad doesn’t have much of a head start. Apple’s iPhone had a few years on the first Android device. Google’s Android platform is growing quickly, but isn’t likely to catch the iPhone in terms of smartphone market share any time soon. Google’s Android will be a solid No. 3 in smartphones.

However, tablets are a different story. Apple’s iPad isn’t as expensive as originally thought, but it’s not going to be $199 any time soon. Android tablets will hit that price point. Just to reiterate: None of these Android devices are going to matter to Apple, which doesn’t sweat market share standings.

The TWEEL - radical new wheel technology

Michelin has showcased a potentially disruptive technology with significant ramifications for the future for mobility: an airless, integrated tyre and wheel combination dubbed the TWEEL (i.e. Tyre/WhEEL) . The Tweel promises performance levels beyond those possible with conventional pneumatic technology. The first commercial applications of the Tweel will be in lower-speed, lower-weight vehicles such as the iBOT mobility device and Segway’s Concept Centaur. Designed by Segway-inventor Dean Kamen, the iBOT mobility device has the ability to climb stairs and navigate uneven terrain, offering mobility freedom impossible with traditional wheelchairs. Additionally, Segway’s Concept Centaur, a prototype that applies self-balancing technology to a four-wheel device, has also been equipped with Tweel to increase its performance potential.

Beyond these first real-world applications, Michelin has additional projects for Tweel on construction skidsteers and a variety of military vehicles.

Historically Significant

“Major revolutions in mobility may come along only once in a hundred years,” said Terry Gettys, president of Michelin Americas Research and Development Center in Greenville, S.C. “But a new century has dawned and Tweel has proven its potential to transform mobility. Tweel enables us to reach levels of performance that quite simply aren’t possible with today’s conventional pneumatic technology.”

The most intriguing application may be Michelin’s early prototype Tweel fitment for passenger cars. The mobility company released video of promising Tweel performance on an Audi A4.

“The Tweel automotive application, as demonstrated on the Audi, is definitely a concept, a stretch application with strong future potential,” said Gettys.

“Our concentration is to enter the market with lower-speed, lower-weight Tweel applications. What we learn from our early successes will be applied to Tweel fitments for passenger cars and beyond.”

Benefits of the Tweel

The heart of Tweel innovation is its deceptively simple looking hub and spoke design that replaces the need for air pressure while delivering performance previously only available from pneumatic tires.

The flexible spokes are fused with a flexible wheel that deforms to absorb shock and rebound with ease. Without the air needed by conventional tires, Tweel still delivers pneumatic-like performance in weight-carrying capacity, ride comfort, and the ability to “envelope” road hazards.

Michelin has also found that it can tune Tweel performances independently of each other, which is a significant change from conventional tires. This means that vertical stiffness (which primarily affects ride comfort) and lateral stiffness (which affects handling and cornering) can both be optimised, pushing the performance envelope in these applications and enabling new performances not possible for current inflated tires.

The Tweel prototype, demonstrated on the Audi A4, is within five percent of the rolling resistance and mass levels of current pneumatic tires. That translates to within one percent of the fuel economy of the OE fitment.

Additionally, Michelin has increased the lateral stiffness by a factor of five, making the prototype unusually responsive in its handling.
